What the Immutable Audit Trail does
When something goes wrong in a customer conversation β and eventually something will β the question is whether you have a record.
Darwin has no audit trail. Conversations happen, they end, and they are gone. If a customer disputes what the agent said, you have nothing. If a compliance auditor asks for records, you have nothing.
Eugenia records everything. Immutably. Permanently (within retention policy).
What immutable means in practice
- Transcripts cannot be edited β what was said is what is stored, exactly
- Every action on a record is logged β who flagged it, who reviewed it, when, what they decided
- Agent version is captured β you always know which version of the agent handled which conversation, so you can trace behavior changes over time
- The record exists independently β even if you update your agent configuration, historical conversations reflect the state at the time they occurred
When you need it
Customer disputes A customer claims the agent promised a discount it wasnβt authorized to offer. You pull the transcript. You have the exact text, the exact time, and the agent version. The dispute is resolved with evidence.
Compliance audits Your industry requires records of customer communications. Eugeniaβs export includes all required metadata in a structured format.
Performance investigations You notice resolution rates dropped during a specific week. You review conversations from that period and trace it to a configuration change. You have the data to make the case.
Internal reviews New team members can review historical conversations to understand how the agent handles different scenarios. The record is a training resource as well as a compliance tool.
